Any student can turn in photos, poems, short stories, sketches or more. Submissions for this semester are now closed, said Sole Image adviser Lawrence Keel.
Sole Image student editors meet Wednesdays at 4 p.m. on the 2nd FL of the HUM building. Last week, they read written submissions and voted on student photos and sketches.
A student's submission gets published based on quality and magazine space.
Sole Image Co-Editor-in-Chief Janet Vatananugulkit likes being a part of the magazine.
"The team is so passionate about it," said Vatananugulkit. "It is inspiring to be around people who care about it as much as I do."
Student Sonia Hasso thinks the magazine is interesting to look at, but she didn't submit any work.
"I think the standards of the magazine are too low," said Hasso. "It is not competitive enough."
Hasso still cares about the magazine because it represents the school.
"But the talent just isn't there," said Hasso.
Student Pamela Bell thinks the magazine is cool.
"It gives students a chance to express themselves in their own way and hopefully inspire others as well."
