Six third-party candidates or their representatives held a forum in the Cypress College Theatre at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28.
About 100 people were in attendance when the forum started. About 50 were remaining at the end of the event.
Cynthia Mckinney, the Green Party Candidate for President, and Matt Gonzazles, Ralph Nader's Vice Presidental Candidate, were supposed to attend, but each canceled prior to the event, according to Ryan Billings, Associated Students (AS) Senator. Instead, they each sent representatives.
AS hosted the forum and Political Science professor Gloria Badal moderated it. Badal commented just before the Q&A at the end of the forum about how similar all the candidates were on the issues, despite coming from different ideological backrounds.

Bill Lussenheide represented Chuck Baldwin and the Constitution Party; Bradford Lyttle, the Pacifist Party nominee came to the event; Dave Jensen represented Nader's independant campaign; Sandy Stiassman represented McKinney; Frank McEnulty, the candidate for the New American Independant Party in some states and Vice Presidental Candidate for the Reform Party for different states, spoke; and Bruce Bongardt, a self-described "virutal candidate," also came. He said after the event a virtual candidate meant he wasn't on the ballot, but wanted to give his ideas to other candidates.

Badal asked the speakers about the bailout, the Iraq War and Immigration. Then, audience members were allowed to ask the candidates and representatives questions.
